Wedding FAQs

When should I RSVP?

We kindly ask that you RSVP no later than November 1, 2025! You can let us know you’re coming by clicking the RSVP button in the menu above or by mailing us the RSVP card from your paper invitation.

How do I get there?

Indio/Palm Springs International Airport (PSP): ~22 minutes away

Los Angeles International Airport (LAX): ~2 hours away

Where should I stay?

We recommend booking the Holiday Inn Express in Ranchero Mirage, where we’ve reserved a hotel block for our guests just 15 minutes from the wedding venue. Reserve this hotel by calling 760-340-5516 and asking for the Simmons-Yi hotel block / providing the code SYW or by clicking this link. We suggest booking early, as it is based on availability.

A shuttle service will be available at the hotel block to take guests to the venue promptly at 3pm. Feel free to Uber / Lyft to the hotel block to catch the shuttle if you are staying elsewhere. It will also be available to drop guests off once the festivities end!

What should I wear?

Our dress code is formal. We request that women wear mid-to-floor-length dresses and men wear button downs and slacks (light weight jackets are also encouraged). If you’d like to match the wedding’s theme, opt for a solid desert color such as terracotta, prickly pear, or dusty blue.

Both the ceremony and reception will be held outdoors. While it’ll be warm during the day, the desert cools down at night.

Where should I park?

Please note that there is no parking available at Casa Tierra. We recommend using Uber / Lyft for transportation to the venue or catching the shuttle leaving at 3pm from the hotel block (the Holiday Inn in Ranchero Mirage). Our ceremony will begin promptly at 4pm, so we ask that you arrive by 3:40pm to allow time to be seated.

After the reception, we’ve arranged for a shuttle service to drop off guests at the hotel block or the afterparty nearby! The shuttle will also be available to pick up guests from the afterparty at 12am.

Are kids welcome?

Our wedding events will be adults-only. We hope you take this opportunity to enjoy a getaway in Palm Desert!

Can I take pictures during the ceremony?

We kindly request an unplugged ceremony. Feel free to take photos during our cocktail hour and reception!
